Zeus – How Does It Feel

Last Tuesday, my friend Jeremy Bernatchez invited me out to Sterling Studio to do some behind the scenes photography on the set of Canadian indie rock band, Zeus‘ new music video “How Does it Feel”.  Having worked together before on their last video “Marching Through Your Head”, Vision Entertainment was back at it again putting the band (Rob Drake, Carlin Nicholson, Mike O’Brien and Neil Quin) in a fairy tale-like animated forest.  At least, that’s the few shots I was able to see on visual effects guru Steve Bosco’s computer.  The band was on a green screen set the whole time, rocking some kick ass white suits.

The Gruesome Twosome Tour @ the Molson Amphitheatre

Last Friday I was presented with the opportunity to shoot possibly the most fun and challenging concert I’ve shot yet. Friends for years, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie have finally teamed up to tour together in what some have called, “a match made in macabre heaven.”

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend an evening with Turin Brakes. It’s been 5 years since they last toured North America. Hopefully the BA strike preventing them to return home when their tour is over next week doesn’t stop them from wanting to come back here in the future.

Arkells @ Air Canada Centre

It’s been a great year for the Arkells. In just 7 months, Arkells have won a favourite new artist CASBY Award (short for Canadian Artists Selected by You) from Toronto radio station 102.1 The Edge, the Juno Award for New Group of the Year and for their May 15th show, were hand-picked to open for Them Crooked Vultures at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
