The OCD way to a Clean Inbox

This is what my inbox looks like 99% of the time. During the course of a day I can get anywhere between 20-50 emails, which I’m sure many would consider lucky. However, seeing them pile up in the inbox can be overwhelming. Even if they are shown as read I prefer to have them archived and hidden knowing that the conversation is done or I am waiting for a reply. The benefit to my OCD is that it makes for a very organized and structured life, complete with labels, folders, spreadsheets and I figured I’d share some of the steps I take to make this work.

A Reflection on 2009: Concert Photography

It’s a bit late, but better late than never, right? First let me wish everyone a happy new year. I thought I’d spend my first post of 2010 to reflect on my work with concert photography in the last year. I really only started shooting concerts in early 2009. A few years before then, I offered to help friends in bands out by shooting some of their shows in Hamilton – I had my d70s which I purchased in January of 2007 and a kit lens. The last year before switching over to Canon with my 5DmkII, I bought a Sigma 30mm f1.4 which helped a lot in the low light, and being in small venues let me get up close.
