Weezer @ Air Canada Centre - December 5, 2009.
After such an amazing show last night, it felt weird waking up today to hear that Rivers Cuomo had been injured in a tour bus accident en route from Toronto to Boston. By the photos from their blog post on Weezer’s Myspace site, today, it looks pretty serious. I hope that they have a speedy recovery and it’s nothing too serious.
Weezer was performing in Toronto as part of their tour along with headlining the Edge 102.1‘s Jingle Bell Rock Holiday Concert with Motion City Soundtrack, illScarlett and Jack’s Mannequin. Probably the best part of the concert was when Rivers came up to me and asked for my camera. Handing it over to him, he proceeded to take some shots of the crowd, one of which I’ve included in the set. My friend Pete Nema got a shot of Rivers with my camera which I’ve included on my flickr set. You can also see Pete’s photos and review of the show on his site.
